10th International Konitsa Summer School
We are proud to announce that the 10th anniversary of the Konitsa Summer School in Anthropology, Ethnography and Comparative Folklore of the Balkans will be taking place this summer. Little did we know, in 2006, that the Konitsa Summer School would become an important event, bringing together so many students from diverse countries, backgrounds and disciplines.
Over the years, the Konitsa Summer School has hosted a series of prominent academics and scholars, from Europe, USA and Canada and other parts of the world. The Summer School has also produced original academic works by its students, culminating in the publications ‘Balkan Border Crossings’ and ‘Contributing to Balkan Ethnography’. The opportunity to conduct field work in three different countries is just one of the many characteristics that makes the Konitsa Summer School such a unique intellectual environment.
We are proud to see the extent to which alumni remain active in the Border Crossings Network through teaching and research collaborations, long-term friendships, and social media. We would like to thank all of the students and professors who have contributed to making each and every session of the Konitsa Summer School so special, and we would like to welcome you to the 10th anniversary of the Summer School!
